Acrylic polyols comprising hydroxy functional acrylic copolymers involving an acrylic backbone having modified castor oil sourced hydroxyl functionalities are synthesized through solution polymerization. The resins are synthesized at up to 100% solids and provide tough, glossy, chemical and weather resistant coatings upon curing.
