A shellac polymer hybrid comprising urethanised and cross-linked shellac-polyurethane-acrylic hybrid is provided as aqueous dispersion for high gloss coating formulations. The hybrid dries fast, offers good mechanical properties and enhanced water and solvent resistance while enabling brush and rag application without sagging.
