Cementitious PU self-levelling floors with fast return to service
Food, beverage, dairy, bakery and pharma floors demand fast reopening, resistance to chemicals, and tolerance to heat while staying seamless and hygienic.
Cementitious PU systems are positioned for exactly these operating conditions, combining durability with a monolithic finish.
Substrates are mechanically prepared (scarifying/grinding/shot blasting) and cleaned; acid etching is avoided due to debonding/blistering risk. A scratch coat is used to seal the surface; pinholes are checked and corrected before the body coat is placed. The self-levelling coat is applied by notch trowel and de-aerated using spike rolling; mixes are executed in full packs within short pot life.Where needed, a moisture-tolerant PU IPN system can be selected for higher substrate moisture (up to 15%), while still avoiding rising damp.
